First Visit

Our office, along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recommends your child have his/her first dental visit by their first birthday.  On the first visit, the parents are invited back into the rooms with their child.  A small child may wish to sit in his/her parent's lap during the visit, while an older child may wish to come back on their own.  We accommodate each individual's needs.

The information is divided into One-Year Olds, Preschoolers,  and Teens.

Each section has information on the five main aspects of dental care:

  1. Clinical Exam

  2. Caries Risk Assessment

  3. Nutritional Counseling

  4. Home Care Instruction

  5. Establishing a Recall
